General Manager/Secretary-Treasurer
The Crowe Valley Conservation Authority is currently seeking to fill the permanent full time position of General Manager/Secretary-Treasurer.

The Crowe Valley Conservation Authority (CVCA) which was formed in 1958 under the Conservation Authorities Act is a community-based watershed agency with a recent mandate to ensure water management and related services and programs are delivered in a timely manner for the public and the CVCA’s member municipalities. The CVCA is comprised of ten member municipalities which fund the operations of the Authority in conjunction with Provincial funding support. Other sources of revenue are derived from grants, partnerships and self-generated revenue.
The Crowe Valley Conservation Authority requires a General Manager/Secretary-Treasurer to be responsible for the operations of the Authority, overall administrative planning, direction of staff (both operational and administrative), interactions with member municipalities and other business related activities. The General Manager will ensure all services and programs will be in compliance with all applicable bylaws, policies, statutory requirements and agreements. The General Manager will also prepare plans for and work in conjunction with the CVCA Board of Directors to further the goals and objectives of the Authority.

The Crowe Valley Conservation Authority’s watershed is certainly unique in southern Ontario. With a low population base and very little industrial activity, the watershed has remained as pristine and in as natural state as possible. The region we serve is primarily “cottage country”, interspersed with vibrant communities enjoying everything a natural environment can offer.
The General Manager’s role will require flexibility to occasionally work irregular hours and the ability to travel throughout the region and attending meetings within and beyond the watershed’s boundaries.

Description Of The Position
SickKids Foundation is proud to offer a 12-month Development Internship Program dedicated to empowering and supporting emerging Black professionals in the charitable and not-for-profit sector. This unique opportunity is designed to build meaningful skills, expand professional networks, and provide practical experience across several key areas within the Foundation.
As part of this internship, participants will gain exposure to three dynamic business units:
• Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) / People & Culture
• Community Partnerships
• Donor Experience and Impact
This immersive program is ideal for individuals looking to launch their careers in the philanthropic space while contributing to one of Canada’s leading pediatric health foundations.
You Will
• Develop hands-on experience in fundraising, donor engagement, and support services, gaining a comprehensive understanding of how various departments collaborate to drive impact.
• Work closely with teams across Fundraising, Donor Experience, Third-Party Events, and Relationship Management.
• Support data integrity by maintaining and updating donor records in our CRM systems.
• Assist with community outreach and administrative tasks to support new business development and partnership strategies.
• Collaborate with the EDI and People & Culture team on meaningful projects that promote inclusion and belonging across the Foundation.
• Attend cheque presentations, donor events, and community activations, playing a role in stewarding community partners and demonstrating impact.
• Contribute to the implementation of our Donor Promise, ensuring consistent and meaningful donor experiences.
• Help draft, review, and proofread communication materials at various stages of development.
• Provide general administrative support across the three departments, contributing to team operations and project delivery.
• Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support evolving projects and team priorities.
Qualifications

• Qualified for the position under the criteria of having obtained a university degree or college diploma;
• The SKF Black Development Intern must identify as a member of the Black Community
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to understand the importance of fundraising and stewardship;
• Professionalism with a strong sense of ethics;
• Ability to work independently, with a ‘‘go getter attitude’’ and the ability to take
• Initiative;
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with teams and others in the organization;
• Discretion, tact, diplomacy and attention to detail are essential;
• Good written and verbal communication skills;
• Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment and meets deadlines;
• Good time management and organizational skills;

Total Compensation Package
Hiring Salary Range: $38,875 ($21.36)
