Responsibilities:
- Help develop learning activities on environmental literacy
- Help monitor our social channels, engage and promote our content.
- Plan and develop social media content for our channels based on guidance
- Design, develop and edit videos and graphic assets for social media and other marketing content.
Requirement:
a. College students who are passionate about environmental education, and / or with major in related fields
b. Good grasp of social media
c. Good research and communication skills
d. Fluent with Canva and have video editing experience

NY Climate Week Event Volunteer
Role Type: Event Support & Outreach
Location: Remote (with potential in-person opportunities in Toronto or New York, depending on availability)
Time Commitment: about 3-5 hours/week (August – September)
Role Description:
As a volunteer for One Degree Cooler's New York Climate Week campaign, you will help bring youth voices to the global climate stage. You’ll play a vital role in rallying young people across Canada and beyond to sign our climate pledge, helping us amplify their voices at New York Climate Week 2025.
Responsibilities:
- Outreach & Promotion: Share the pledge within your school, community, or networks to encourage sign-ups.
- School & Organization Liaison: Help coordinate inter-school participation by encouraging friendly competition and tracking sign-ups.
- Social Media Support: Create or share engaging content (Reels, posts, stories) encouraging youth to add their voice.
- Youth Voice Collection: Assist in collecting short messages or videos from youth to be showcased during NY Climate Week.
- Event Support (if applicable): Assist with virtual or in-person logistics, including audience coordination, live chat moderation, or guest liaison.

About the Project
As part of our mission to promote sustainability and community engagement, DCA is developing a RideShare platform to support transportation coordination for Dartmouth’s college reunion events. The platform will connect alumni and students who can share rides, helping to reduce emissions, lower costs, and foster alumni connections.
Position Overview
We are looking for an App Developer to help bring the RideShare platform to life. You'll work closely with our UI/UX designer, backend developer, and project manager to build an intuitive, responsive user interface for both desktop and mobile users.
Responsibilities
- Implement responsive designs based on UI/UX mockups (Figma or Adobe XD)
- Integrate with backend APIs
- Optimize the app for speed, accessibility, and mobile usability
- Test and troubleshoot frontend issues across devices and browsers
- Collaborate with the team in weekly check-ins
Qualifications

NY Climate Week Event Coordinator
Summary
One Degree Cooler is one of Canada's largest youth-led climate nonprofit empowering young changemakers through hands-on sustainability projects, internships, and events. We bring youth-led climate action into communities and forums around the world.

Event: New York Climate Week: Global Youth Climate Action
Location: Hybrid (New York City, Toronto, Remote)
Commitment: Part-time for the event planning period (volunteer role, hours flexible)
About the Role
As our NY Climate Week Event Coordinator, you will lead the planning, logistics, and execution of a side event hosted by One Degree Cooler during Climate Week NYC. This role is perfect for organized, mission-driven individuals excited about event planning and global climate engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Join the Global Youth Climate Action planning committee and collaborate with One Degree Cooler staff to define event theme, format, and speakers
- Manage scheduling, and coordinate session logistics
- Recruit and work with volunteers for event support
- Work with marketing to develop promotional materials, social media outreach, and registration workflows
- Serve as the main day-of-event point-of-contact for vendors, attendees, and volunteers
Ideal Candidate
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing timelines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Passionate about climate action and youth engagement
- Experience planning events, managing volunteers, or coordinating logistics (especially during high-profile forums)
