About the Project
As part of our mission to promote sustainability and community engagement, DCA is developing a RideShare platform to support transportation coordination for Dartmouth’s college reunion events. The platform will connect alumni and students who can share rides, helping to reduce emissions, lower costs, and foster alumni connections.
Position Overview
We are looking for an App Developer to help bring the RideShare platform to life. You’ll work closely with our UI/UX designer, backend developer, and project manager to build an intuitive, responsive user interface for both desktop and mobile users.
Responsibilities
- Implement responsive designs based on UI/UX mockups (Figma or Adobe XD)
- Integrate with backend APIs
- Optimize the app for speed, accessibility, and mobile usability
- Test and troubleshoot frontend issues across devices and browsers
- Collaborate with the team in weekly check-ins
Qualifications
- Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Experience with modern frameworks
- Strong problem-solving and a fast learner
- Understanding of responsive and accessible web design
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude
- Passion for climate tech or sustainable innovation is a plus
