We are seeking a motivated, creative, and socially conscious Social Media Intern to join the One Degree Cooler team. This role is an exciting opportunity for high school or university students passionate about climate action, storytelling, and digital communication to gain hands-on experience in social media marketing within a purpose-driven organization.
As a Social Media Intern, you will play a key role in shaping our online voice and expanding our digital reach. You’ll work closely with our communications and outreach teams to craft compelling content, build community engagement, and support campaign rollouts that inspire youth climate action. From idea to execution, you’ll have the chance to contribute directly to real campaigns and grow your skills in content creation, digital strategy, and analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and implementing social media strategies across platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, X, etc.)
- Create engaging, on-brand content including graphics, reels, stories, and written posts
- Research and propose social trends, hashtags, and campaign ideas aligned with One Degree Cooler’s mission
- Monitor audience engagement, respond to comments/messages, and help build our online community
- Track performance analytics and contribute to monthly reporting and recommendations
- Support special digital campaigns, event promotions, and collaborative initiatives with partners

Ideal Candidate:
Open to high school, gap year, or university students
Passionate about climate action, youth leadership, and digital storytelling
Familiar with social media platforms and content trends
Strong written and visual communication skills
Organized, self-motivated, and collaborative
Experience with Canva, CapCut, or scheduling tools is a plus
