About the Project:

Dartmouth Climate Alliance is working on a RideShare web/app platform to make transportation during college reunion events more sustainable, efficient, and community-driven. By connecting attendees who need rides with those who can offer them, we aim to reduce carbon emissions, lower travel costs, and strengthen alumni connections.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Project Manager to lead the planning, development, and launch of this climate-conscious RideShare platform. You will coordinate a multidisciplinary team of developers, designers, and testers to ensure the project is delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with user needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and manage the project timeline, milestones, and deliverables
  • Coordinate team meetings, sprint planning, and progress tracking
  • Act as a liaison between technical team, Dartmouth Climate Alliance, and end users
  • Ensure features align with climate and reunion-related goals (e.g., carbon savings, user ease)
  • Identify and resolve risks, bottlenecks, or resource gaps
  • Support user onboarding and app rollout in the lead-up to the reunion
  • Maintain clear documentation and status reports throughout the project

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Passion for sustainability, climate action, or community-based innovation
  • Previous experience in tech, sustainability, or alumni engagement is a plus
