About the Project
DCA is developing a RideShare web/app platform to connect Dartmouth alumni attending college reunions. The platform will help reduce carbon emissions and promote sustainability by enabling carpooling, shared rides, and more efficient travel coordination.
Position Overview
We are seeking a UI/UX Designer to work on the design of our RideShare platform’s user interface and experience. You’ll collaborate closely with developers, project managers, and end users to create intuitive, user-centered designs that are both functional and visually engaging. This is a unique opportunity to apply your design skills to a real-world climate tech solution.
Key Responsibilities
- Create wireframes, user flows, and prototypes for mobile and/or web
- Translate user and stakeholder needs into clean, accessible interface designs
- Collaborate with developers to ensure design consistency during implementation
- Conduct or assist with user testing and incorporate feedback into designs
- Maintain a cohesive design system and documentation
- Ensure accessibility and responsiveness across devices
Qualifications
- Experience with UI/UX design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, etc.)
- Understanding of responsive and mobile-first design principles
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to balance aesthetics with functionality and user needs
- Interest in climate action, sustainability, or social impact design
- Prior experience with ride-sharing, mobility, or event-related platforms is a plus
- Dartmouth College students or alumni are especially encouraged to apply

Project Manager for RideShare App
About the Project:
Dartmouth Climate Alliance is working on a RideShare web/app platform to make transportation during college reunion events more sustainable, efficient, and community-driven. By connecting attendees who need rides with those who can offer them, we aim to reduce carbon emissions, lower travel costs, and strengthen alumni connections.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Project Manager to lead the planning, development, and launch of this climate-conscious RideShare platform. You will coordinate a multidisciplinary team of developers, designers, and testers to ensure the project is delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with user needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and manage the project timeline, milestones, and deliverables
- Coordinate team meetings, sprint planning, and progress tracking
- Act as a liaison between technical team, Dartmouth Climate Alliance, and end users
- Ensure features align with climate and reunion-related goals (e.g., carbon savings, user ease)
- Identify and resolve risks, bottlenecks, or resource gaps
- Support user onboarding and app rollout in the lead-up to the reunion
- Maintain clear documentation and status reports throughout the project
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Passion for sustainability, climate action, or community-based innovation
- Previous experience in tech, sustainability, or alumni engagement is a plus

Part time Project Officer
Location: Remote with occasional travel (AB preferred)
Reports to: Project Manager
Duration: Part time ASAP to March 31, 2026 with one year renewal opportunity
Compensation: $24,000 to $27,500 (18.75hrs/ week)

Green School Volunteers Across Canada will activate youth-led engagement through the creation of ECO Clubs that will promote civic engagement through meaningful committed service opportunities while gaining valuable skills that will benefit them in life and work. In addition, the project will enhance youth’s readiness for leadership roles and community participation through service in Environmental and Sustainability projects aligned to issues youth are passionate about. Project activities will be delivered in Ontario (Ottawa-Toronto) and Alberta and one other province to be determined.
We are seeking individuals in Alberta to support our program as a PT project officer.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Project Manager or designate, the Project Officer will:
- With the leadership of senior team and project team, contribute to the successful delivery of the project known as “Green School Volunteers Across Canada”;
- Contribute to implementation of the work plan for the project that will successfully meet the funders targets while providing meaningful engagement for the youth participants of the project. The targets are creation/enhancement of 24 Eco Clubs, which will engage 240 youth that will give 120 community service hours each.
- Participate in the planning and logistics of community engagement round tables;
- Reach out to teachers, schools and school boards with the goal of recruiting 24 youth leaders within the school to develop or enhance 24 Eco Clubs;
- Assist the 24 recruited youth leaders engage an additional 240 youth volunteers including Indigenous and youth in under-served communities within the schools to participant in the development and enhancement of Eco Clubs;
- In collaboration with subject matter experts in areas such as Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Indigenous engagement and Environment and Sustainability create resources such as online workshop, guidebook, and 3 day workshop to be used in the engagement of the diverse youth participants;
- Assist in planning and delivering online training sessions, including all logistics;
- Assist the youth leaders and youth volunteers in planning environmental activities including sustainability audits, clean ups, tree planting to promote community service engagement;
- Regularly meet the youth leader and youth volunteers to give support on the continued development of the Eco Clubs mission and goals;
- Tracking of the number of community service engagement hours by all youth;
- Assist with the planning and logistic of the in person 3 day regional workshop;
- Assist in writing reports, tracking data as required by the funder.
Relevant Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience with the recruitment of youth;
- Proven experience in organizing events;
- Proven experience in collecting and organizing data;
- Proven experience in engaging youth from under—service communities;
- University degree in Education or relevant experience in the social sciences;
- Sensitivity to working with education administrators, teachers and diverse cultural communities and families;
- Strong interpersonal skills and understanding of Canada’s population diversity;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Ability to work as a member of a team;
- Excellent communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Curate and schedule spotlight posts, event recaps, and volunteer testimonials to amplify community voices.
Engagement Tracking & Feedback Collection:
- Monitor engagement metrics (likes, shares, comments, audience participation) and track UGC trends to improve strategies.
- Collect community feedback through interactive tools and surveys to refine engagement tactics.
- Provide insights on engagement performance and community sentiment to support content planning.
Skills and Experience
Required:
- Community Management: Experience fostering online interactions and building engaged communities.
